The Pagosa Nordic Club is Hosting another Moonrise Ski with Soup & Chili and Campfire, tomorrow, Friday. February 26 at the West Fork Nordic Trail Head.
All abilities and ages are welcome.
Cross country ski trails will be groomed for beginner and intermediate skiers. Come on out and cross country ski and snowshoe under the colorful skies and enjoy a bowl of soup or chili next to the campfire.
Hot soup and chili will be served and the stoked fire will be available from 5:30-8pm in the parking lot. The West Fork trail head is located 12 miles east on hwy 160 from Pagosa Springs — look for the Bruce Spruce Sign 1/4 mile before Treasure Falls.
This event is brought to you by the Pagosa Nordic Club, a non profit volunteer organization with a mission “To enhance winter recreational opportunities in Pagosa Springs by maintaining accessible groomed winter trails for skate skiing, classic cross country skiing & snowshoeing for all ability levels and to encourage and promote the use of these winter trails through education, marketing and events”.
Come on out and howl at the moon, meet new friends and warm your s'more over the fire between 5:30-8pm tomorrow.
The Pagosa Nordic Club (PNC) has expanded Nordic Ski Trail Grooming this winter which now includes 5 Nordic Track trail heads with more than 50 km of FREE trails groomed for Skate Skiing, Classic Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing.
New this season is Reservoir Hill, Coyote Hill, Turkey Springs, Williams Creek and the Expanded West Fork trail system. PNC's new grooming equipment provides a smooth wide surface for skate skiing with set tracks for classic cross country skiing.
